The Aurochs is Here!

As I was telling you some months ago, we wanted to make the new album available on CD, for anyone to buy. We’ve settled on using cafepress.com to begin with, they offer a great on-demand printing service and ship all over the world. I didn’t want to make it all public until I tested it myself, so I sent them a Master CD of the album and then I ordered it. It took two weeks for the CD to get here, but it was worth the wait; it came out surprisingly good!

Here it is, still wrapped in plastic.

I was afraid (judging by the image preview feature on cafepress) the writing would come out blurry, but as you can see, it came out really sharp and the lyrics (Romanian version pictured here) are easily readable!

Aurochs Bellow

After months of intense labour, Pandrea release Aurochs Bellow, a conceptual album based on the history of the World and the Romanian people, from the beginnings up to the Great Union of Mihai the Brave. The fifth Pandrea album, Aurochs Bellow can be downloaded in mp3 format here (includes lyrics).

A special note for non-Romanian speaking listeners: there are English translations of the lyrics available in the download pack, but you may want to skip over track 3 – it’s a narration of a traditional Romanian tale. Here’s a small wikipedia page about the story, if you’re interested. We just took its text and adapted it to the Aurochs theme.

Dupa mai multe luni de munca, Pandrea lanseaza Muget de Zimbru, album conceptual ce prezinta istoria lumii si a romanilor de la inceputuri si pana la Marea Unire savarsita de Mihai Viteazul. Sign of Life

We’re still alive, but due to various circumstances work on the new album has been slow. We hope to have it ready by the end of the month. Recording of the rhythm and acoustic guitars is done, and I’m optimistic about meeting this new, and hopefully final deadline.

Aurochs Bellow will be available as a free download, but we’re also planning a CD release. Would you buy the CD, including bonus tracks and quality artwork&packaging? Let us know what you think. We’re considering several options of providing the CDs and we want to make the best choice for both you and us. Any suggestions are welcome, feel free to comment below.

Semn de viata

Suntem inca in viata, dar diverse circumstante ne-au incetinit munca la album. Speram sa fie gata la sfarsitul acestei luni. Am terminat inregistratul track-urilor de chitara ritm si acustica, asa ca sunt optimist in privinta respectarii acestui nou, si speram ultim, termen.

Muget de Zimbru va fi disponibil integral pentru download gratuit, insa planuim sa-l producem si in format CD. Ati cumpara CD-ul, cu tot cu bonus track-uri si artwork de calitate? Lasati-ne un comentariu. Avem in vedere mai multe metode de a oferi aceste CD-uri, si vrem sa alegem cea mai buna varianta pentru noi, si pentru voi. Daca aveti vreo sugestie, comentati mai jos.
